What do UKIP believe about local issues affecting Sheffield residents?

UKIP believe in keeping Sheffield's Post Offices open.  The Post Office has proposed the closure of 16 Post Offices.  However, we reject the hypocrisy of Labour, Liberal Democrats and Conservatives.  All three voted FOR the EU's Postal Services Directives which are the root cause of the closures, yet are now campaigning to keep Post Offices open.  Nevertheless, it is still worth supporting the Council's campaign.  You can sign the petition against Post Office closures here.

Questionnaires delivered by UKIP in Woodhouse ward showed an overwhelming majority of local residents do not want black bin collections to be limited to just once a fortnight.

In Sheffield, UKIP said NO to the council's tripling of home care charges.

Local residents told us that drug use, vandalism and antisocial behaviour are the main problems in Sheffield and Woodhouse ward. We believe that it's time the police took firmer action. UKIP suggest a policy of zero tolerance on crime and antisocial behaviour in Sheffield.

UKIP oppose any further increases to councillors' allowances.

UKIP opposes yet another increase in Sheffield bus fares. The council should threaten to give the First Group's contract to a different operator if they do not stop putting fares up. Local residents are struggling to pay.

The "Your Council, Your Say" propaganda exercise for the Labour Party cost Sheffield taxpayers £45,000, about £5 for every response received! Yet the questions don't reflect what people really want. Is this what your council tax should be used for?
